bravora2026@gmail.comSeoul Bukchon & Samcheong: Top 3 Sujebi (Hand-Torn Dough Soup) Restaurants

MONDAY · REVIEW-BASED SHORTLIST
Hi, I’m JO PIGGY. Look up for Bukchon’s roofs, then down for the next travel highlight on your spoon. A shared crock, a spicy bowl and nutty perilla broth offer three routes through lunch.
Sujebi is dough torn by hand into soup: irregular little clouds rather than long noodles. Anchovy, shellfish or beef-bone stocks change its character; perilla adds nuttiness. ‘Eolkeun’ signals a spicy version, so ask if chili is unfamiliar territory.
Three places to consider
1. Samcheongdong Sujebi
Thin chewy dough, gentle anchovy broth, clams, vegetables and well-fermented kimchi are recurring visitor favorites. Soup comes in a crock to ladle into smaller bowls. Offer your companion a scoop before beginning your private noodle diplomacy. Pancakes are popular extras, and queues need time.

A pregnancy-priority arrangement shortened this writer’s wait and should not be treated as a typical queue time.Read original review

Dumplings lead the sign, but sujebi and kaljebi have their own following. Kaljebi combines knife-cut noodles and hand-torn dough: carbohydrates negotiating a peace treaty. Beef-bone and spicy broths are available near Anguk’s Gye-dong walking route.
What Korean bloggers said
- NAVER BLOG · REVIEW 01북촌/안국역 맛집 : 밀양손만두Yekoo Kim tried spicy and beef-bone kaljebi with dumplings. Soft noodles and the dough thickness appealed, while thin-wrapped dumplings were not especially juicy and kimchi filling won the personal vote. Bone-broth aroma was strong; the spicy bowl combined heat and chili.Read original review
- NAVER BLOG · REVIEW 02밀양손만두 방문 후기 / 안국역 근처 만두 수제비 칼국수 수육 맛집Cheundeda ordered spicy sujebi, dumplings and sliced pork after a palace visit. - NAVER BLOG · REVIEW 03안국역맛집 밀양손만두 I 오랜노포 느낌의 얼큰한 사골만두국Santa Lucia ate beef-bone rice-cake dumpling soup, not sujebi. A solo seat was immediately available and service felt kind, with mild filled dumplings and pickled radish appreciated. The meal was good, though another restaurant’s dumpling soup remained a personal favorite.Read original review

A gentle shared crock at Samcheongdong, spice and dumplings at Milyang, or a perilla option at Guksu Myeongga: choose your broth and let the walk resume on better terms. Alley photos belong in your phone; lunch belongs in the travel memory.
A review-based shortlist, not first-hand visits or a complete district ranking. Nine source posts and three map locations were checked in the Korean draft. Guksu Myeongga’s sujebi posts date to 2019 and 2022; the recent post covers another dish. Menus, hours and prices need reconfirmation.
