bravora2026@gmail.comSeoul Gwanghwamun & Seochon: Top 3 Hanjeongsik (Korean Set Meal) Restaurants

MONDAY · REVIEW-BASED SHORTLIST
Hi, I’m JO PIGGY. Your camera had its palace tour; now your chopsticks deserve one. From a modern city building to a quieter neighborhood north of Seochon, here are three very different Korean tables.
Hanjeongsik brings rice, soup, side dishes and cooked dishes together, either all at once or course by course. Perfect for travelers who dislike choosing just one dish. Plenty of vegetables does not mean a vegetarian meal, so check ingredients when ordering.
Three places to consider
1. Ilpum Jinjin Sura Gwanghwamun
Private rooms and sequential courses suit a meal with a little ceremony. Visitors praise tidy presentation, varied dishes, tender rib soup and grilled meat patties. The palace visit may be over, but the royal-table mood can continue. Confirm the chosen course when booking.

A hanok setting for southern Korean cooking, clear octopus soup, seafood and freshly fried jeon. Fermented skate has a pronounced aroma; newcomers can begin with soup or pancakes. Your first Korean-food date need not be with its strongest personality.

Clear octopus soup was refreshing, slightly spicy and gently sweet from zucchini. The maintained hanok impressed, though one skewer per person felt limited.Read original review
- NAVER BLOG · REVIEW 02광화문 맛집 추천 노포 남도 한정식 전문점 신안촌 본점 점심 영란세트 + 홍어삼합Baka’s party of four added fermented-skate samhap to a set meal. Moist fish, oyster pancakes, tender octopus and clean soup were highlights. The hanok and flavors pleased, but value felt weaker and seating more like a shared room than a private one.Read original review
- NAVER BLOG · REVIEW 03경복궁역 맛집 신안촌: 백년가게 한옥에서 맛본 남도식 연포탕과 모듬전Closer ordered assorted pancakes and octopus soup with vegetable sides. Extend the walk north to Cheongun-dong for pot rice and a full spread served together. Visitors like generous side dishes, tidy tables and group-friendly space. Eggplant or pine-mushroom pot rice with beef pancakes appears in several blogs—the supporting dishes seem determined to audition for the lead.

Choose Jinjin Sura for quiet courses, Sinanchon for southern dishes in a hanok, or Deulpul for a substantial pot-rice stop after walking. Save your camera battery if you must, but do not ration lunchtime.
Curated from nine Korean blog posts, not personal visits or an exhaustive ranking. Selection considered review volume, available ratings and menu/area fit. Deulpul is farther north in Cheongun-dong. Course contents and operating details may change; verify before travel.
