Hi, I’m JO PIGGY. Andong's jjimdak alley has so many signs that your decision-making skills may get hungry before you do.
Jjimdak braises chicken with potatoes, vegetables and glass noodles in a sweet-savory soy sauce. Chili can turn up the heat, so ask before ordering. The noodles absorb sauce like they have a full-time job; do not leave them waiting too long.
One stop is in the old market, while two pair neatly with a Hahoe Village trip.

1. Andong Sinsegae Jjimdak
In the old market's jjimdak alley, reviewers like ample portions, sweet-savory sauce and glass noodles. Boneless and takeaway options make this an appealing stop if you would rather chase noodles than chicken bones.

2. Wasong Restaurant, Andong
Near Hahoe Village, a set can bring jjimdak and salted mackerel to the same table. Reviews praise the sauce-soaked chicken and noodles and the friendly service. Two Andong classics, one fewer menu debate.
