bravora2026@gmail.comSeoul Bukchon & Samcheong: Top 3 Mandu (Korean Dumpling) Restaurants

MONDAY · REVIEW-BASED SHORTLIST
Hi, I’m JO PIGGY. Bukchon's tiled roofs are lovely, but today I may spend longer admiring the folds of a dumpling.
Mandu wraps fillings such as meat, vegetables or tofu in thin dough. Order a plate to share or let dumplings turn a bowl of soup into lunch. Kimchi mandu adds a lively kick; freshly steamed ones add a warning for impatient tongues.
Here are three dumpling stops around Bukchon and Samcheong, each with a different reason to pick up your chopsticks.
Three places to consider
1. Hwangsaengga Kalguksu
Kalguksu is in the name, yet the large handmade dumplings make a strong case of their own. Reviewers like the thin wrappers and savory soup. An art-museum visit followed by dumpling appreciation sounds like a respectable itinerary.

2. Onmigwan Anguk
A useful table when one person wants soup, another wants noodles, and everyone can agree on dumplings. Visitors praise the tidy meal and cozy space, while linked blogs show that tastes and service experiences vary.

One last bite
Go to Hwangsaengga for big dumplings in a warm bowl, Onmigwan when your group also wants other Korean dishes, or Milyang for a choice of mild and spicy soups. Let your feet rest; the chopsticks can take the next shift.
Based on public Korean reviews, not first-hand visits. Onmigwan's feedback is mixed and some linked reviews mention receipt-review perks; read individual accounts before choosing.
