Hi, I’m JO PIGGY. Gwangalli can keep you staring at the sea for hours. One step back from the sand and a different little world opens up: beer, cocktails and the question of whether anyone actually wants to go home yet.
Do not panic if the tap list reads like a crossword puzzle. Ask what is light, hoppy or unusual. Travelers ask for directions; they can ask for beer advice too.
Three places to consider
1. Bronx Brewing Company, Gwangalli BP
The window seats keep the bridge in view while the beer sampler gives your table a small tasting tour. Reviewers also mention pizza and chicken. Your camera roll may gain another beach photo, but we cannot promise to stop it.

2. Lower
A basement late-night hideaway in Millak with cocktails, music, darts and board games. Reviews like the helpful guidance and separate bar and group spaces. Its listing showed a midnight opening, so arriving at 7 p.m. would be a very long pre-drink.

3. HUGUS Beer Pub
A range of craft beer and, according to reviewers, chances to taste before choosing. There is counter seating for a solo glass and snack options such as fried tteokbokki. Deciding on a beer may become the activity.

One last bite
Bronx for the bridge, Lower for a midnight cocktail, HUGUS for beer discovery. One good stop is enough for a Gwangalli evening; the sea will still be there when you leave.
Review-based shortlist, not our own night out. Lower's very late hours and each bar's current tap list should be reconfirmed; one Bronx review describes a promotion that may no longer apply. Drink responsibly.
