Hi, I’m JO PIGGY. Walk around Uirimji, take in the scenery toward Cheongpung, and your camera may be full while your stomach is decidedly not.
This city-wide shortlist does not force one menu on you. We have smoky barbecue in the hills, charcoal-grilled galbi served ready to eat, and a crisp cutlet after a lake walk. Your day can change genres at lunchtime.
Three places to consider
1. Cowboy Grill
Reviewers repeatedly mention brisket, pulled pork and mixed platters. Tuck meat and sides into bread for a small DIY sandwich. The mountain setting and camp-like mood turn dinner into a destination rather than a quick pit stop.

2. The Jinji Charcoal Galbi, Resom Baegun
The galbi arrives already grilled, so the person who usually guards the tongs gets to eat. Reviewers liked the tender meat, crab side dish, cheonggukjang and a generous spread. You may come for ribs and accidentally need rice for the sides too.

3. Bom Donkatsu
A crisp pause after Uirimji. Reviews like the crunchy coating, tender pork and options including cheese katsu and soba. Order different plates with a friend and your table becomes a tiny tasting counter.
